As such, this site contains old information that has simply been updated, expanded, tweaked, or otherwise made to honor the spirit of the original titles. No information present on this site is canon due to Capcom's revisions, but is still perfectly useable if you are writing a fanfiction, roleplaying, or otherwise creatively utilizing the world established in Resident Evil. This site's purpose is to honor the old games and the lore within them. As you can imagine, nothing that has to do with Resident Evil 5 and onwards will be present in this database, as Resident Evil 5 marks the point in which Capcom began to rework the lore and information about the viruses present in the series.
